Name origin: Nespery is a partially preserved fortified manor located in the village of the same name, southwest of Vlašim in the Benešov District of the Central Bohemian Region. It served as the seat of the Nespery family of lesser nobility; in the late 15th century, they were succeeded by the Chobotští family of Ostředek, who held the estate until the end of the 17th century. After being incorporated into the Vlašim estate, the stronghold lost its function as a manorial residence and fell into disrepair. One of its buildings was converted into a granary. The granary building, the adjacent cellar, and the associated grounds are protected as a cultural monument.
